At AND, we accelerate the development of digital capabilities. In practice, that means helping ambitious leaders and organisations build the teams, products, processes and even operational structures they need to close the digital skills gap within their organisation today, so that they thrive tomorrow.

Clients rely on our experience, agility and craft skills across tech and business strategy, software development and product management to address some of the toughest challenges facing their businesses.

We bring aboard thinkers, tinkerers, passionate software craftspeople and inspiring technologists to help us solve these challenges. Together, we’re united by a sense of pragmatism, purpose and a deeply-held belief that digital products and technology alone won’t transform a business or save the world: it’s the people that count.

As our Events Lead you will be a player-coach, responsible for the event output of our newly formed Market Impact team and acting as the senior escalation and coordination point for AND’s event activity within our regional Hubs. In this capacity, you will own the design and delivery of central events, including speaking opportunities for senior staff and AND’s Red Chair series, featuring high profile external thought leaders. In this, you will partner closely with the Marketing Campaign Manager to ensure events are an integrated and effective part of the channel mix - contributing to the success of awareness and lead nurturing campaigns.

Additionally, you will work collaboratively to optimise and continuously improve the execution of regional events across AND, supporting AND’s regional marketing and events teams to ensure events consistently deliver against regional Hub objectives. You will manage the events budget and co-ordinate reporting on events across AND, continually seeking ways to improve efficiency and impact. As a result, you will need to be able to:

  • Be accountable for defining and structuring AND’s event programme across the business. In this capacity, the Events Lead is the central senior strategic point for ensuring:

    • AND events are well-aligned to target audiences and focused on commercial outcomes that support growth.

    • Stakeholder expectations and needs are proactively managed, ensuring event budgets achieve ROI and measurable impact is tracked.

  • Support and co-ordinate the forward planning of a top-performing and coherent programme of measurable events, working proactively across the wider events team.

  • Take ownership of Market Impact events, including the successful running of Red Chair Talks (or alternate but identical objective-based events) each quarter.

  • Create, manage and monitor the Market Impact events budget as part of the wider marketing budget, raising any issues or opportunities in good time.

  • Support the creation of, and ensure effective evaluation of, Market Impact event KPIs, with particular focus on measurable ROI.

  • A consummate events professional, passionate and articulate about the role events plays within the marketing mix to add value and connect with target audiences.

  • A commercially-minded, creative thinker with proven experience of creating new events and programmes that expand networks, generate leads and raise brand awareness.

  • A practiced operator, efficient and superbly organised with experience of delivering multiple parallel complex events to time and budget.

  • A resilient and collaborative natural leader, able to build partnerships at all levels and equipped with the strong credibility needed to manage stakeholders and third party suppliers.

  • Experience of managing and coaching an events team remotely, and across a network or portfolio structure.

  • The ability to drive a culture across those working in events that encourages creativity, openness and commercial outcomes.

  • Proven experience monitoring and managing budgets, delivery schedules and setting targets for event performance.

  • Influencing and negotiating skills that lead to a results-focused approach to events.

From the work we deliver, to the way we serve and support our people, we work hard to ensure that there’s nowhere quite like AND. But joining a company is a two-way street: the fit has to work on both sides. So before you apply, here’s three key things to understand about us:

  • We’re built for people - like, real humans. Not ‘resources’ or ‘staff’. That means happiness and wellbeing really do matter to us, and we hate unnecessary hierarchy and bureaucracy.

  • There’s no well-trodden path ahead: AND is growing fast and forging a new trail. That’s exciting, and gives us all the autonomy and opportunity we love - but bear in mind it also demands focus, patience and resilience.

  • Diversity is a priority. After all, to build great products that a wide variety of different people love to use, we need a wide variety of people to help us build them. So diversity is more than a policy or a word: it’s business critical for us.
