As our Events Planner, you will work to scale and evolve our events programme at AND, optimising it as a key channel for raising brand awareness and supporting lead generation within the South Hub region. This includes optimising existing events, seeking new opportunities to engage target audiences and to work closely with the Regional Marketing Manager to ensure events are integrated into the wider Hub marketing activity and objectives. You will own the design and delivery of the regional events, and be responsible for ensuring a consistently high quality experience for all attendees, with timely communication and follow-up.

Additionally, you will work collaboratively with the Events team across AND to continuously improve, streamline and automate event processes. You will manage the South Hub events budget and report on event performance and ROI, continually seeking ways to improve efficiency and impact. As a result, you will need to be able to:

  • Devise and lead the events strategy for the South Hub, supporting an engaging programme of AND events that directly contribute to the success of regional business development and, where appropriate, wider marketing campaigns.

  • Own the events budget within the South Hub, tracking and monitoring spend.

  • Coordinate the Southern input into the central events dashboard for all event activity, reporting on performance and ROI.

  • Collaborate with Hub Regional Marketing Manager and other Event Planners where necessary to ensure Hub event activity is well-aligned to support Hub business development objectives and follows consistent event practices and processes.

  • Be accountable for the delivery of outstanding events at AND, reporting on success metrics and driving continuous improvement.

  • A consummate events professional with at least three years experience, passionate and articulate about the role events play within the marketing mix to add value and connect with target audiences. 

  • A commercially-minded, creative thinker with proven experience of creating new events and programmes that expand networks, generate leads and raise brand awareness.

  • A practiced organiser, methodical and superbly efficient with experience of delivering multiple parallel events to time and budget.

  • Previous experience of working within the tech industry (although not essential).

  • Experience of delivering online, hybrid and in-person events.

  • Proven experience monitoring and managing budgets, multiple platforms, delivery schedules and managing stakeholder expectations.

  • Proven negotiating skills that lead to a results-focused approach to events.
