Comms and Engagement Lead

This role can be done in any of our clubs across London, Reading, Leeds, Manchester, Halifax and Edinburgh.

As a Comms and Engagement Lead, you will develop and build the internal communication strategy and approach, allowing for different types, levels of messaging and impact on the business. As a result, you will need to be able to:

  • Plan, create and deliver consistent and authentic company-wide communications and key changes in process and policy.

  • Advise and challenge to ensure decision making and communication remain people first and reflect the AND's culture and values.

  • Engage with the right groups and in the appropriate channels to ensure messages are effective and being acted upon. 

  • Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders to maintain awareness of important AND wide initiatives. 

  • Work with the change manager to advise and support AND’s comms approach to ensure key messages about change land successfully.

  • Write and develop messaging that connects employees to company priorities, strategies and announcements.

  • Build and develop relationships with key individuals/groups who can help facilitate and land messages requiring actions.

  • Drive higher levels of employee engagement through creation, analysis and assessment of employee surveys, drawing out actions to be shared with business leaders. 

  • Background and experience in internal communications.

  • Experience planning and delivering internal communication plans and campaigns, writing and producing content for diverse audiences via multiple channels.

  • Experience leading and driving employee engagement programmes.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft and deliver messages in an engaging, concise and accurate way.

  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.

  • Ability to synthesise complex information, including data, distilling key points and making data-driven decisions. 

  • Ability to work with senior stakeholders to coach and guide communications approach and content.
