As our Learning & Development Manager, you will play a key role in running both the Onboarding and Academy tasks for our new hub in Scotland. This role will be adding value from day one by carrying out activities including, but not limited to, the following.
Onboarding (all activities from 4 weeks prior to joining up until the last day of their ANDuction/ANDbootcamp):
Inducting all our new starters through AND’s award winning onboarding experience. As a result, you will need to look after:
Coordination: Handle pre-boarding & post-boarding tasks, such as assigning buddies, sharing pre-work, collating feedback etc.
Coordinating the end-end planning & delivery of our onboarding experiences.
Facilitation: Running sessions in the first week. For the immediate future, onboarding is running remotely on Zoom, however once government restrictions are lifted, we expect to go to a blended approach face to face and remote delivery.
Building local knowledge/relationships -Explore our up and coming office locations and source venues to host local bootcamps in Edinburgh (once government restrictions are lifted).
Academy (Development of our people after they’ve finished their Onboarding experience):
Learning Needs Analysis- Aligning with club operations to understand employee learning needs and future trends. Then organising a jam packed L&D offering, made up of internally led workshops, L&L’s and other self-led learning opportunities.
Internal and External Programmes - Designing and coordinating a complex and blended suite of core programmes made up of multiple elements.
Digital and Online Learning - Driving digital learning engagement through authored content on our learning management system (LMS) and external subscription partners. Experience with LinkedIn Learning would be beneficial
CoPs and Events - Encouraging social learning and knowledge sharing across internal Communities of Practices (CoPs) and external learning events e.g. conferences, meetups and events.
Club projects - Supporting the club with various ad-hoc projects that embed a successful learning culture
Build local knowledge/relationships -Connect with and manage supplier relationships e.g. training providers, meetup communities, workshop venues
Aligning with other Academy & Onboarding teams
Team management: Manage the end to end operations for the Onboarding and Academy function in our Scotland hub. As the function grows, you will manage a team of coordinators.
Team success - Work with the Academy & Onboarding team in the North and South hubs to align and improve processes to ensure the same award winning experience is delivered in Scotland. Also to be flexible and pick up other Academy/Onboarding project work from the other teams when required.

People & project management
Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Organisation and logistics, with high attention to detail & the ability to prioritise
Planning across blended delivery channels, in a fast paced environment
Training delivery/facilitation (both remote & face to face)
Managing an LMS and other L&D tools to driving engagement on core functionality
Lean thinking & a continuous improvement mindset to scaling consistent processes
Analysis of key data & feedback to inform future decisions
Confident to build relationships quickly with people of all levels & backgrounds
Being assertive and able to hold people to account
A keen interest and experience in L&D/Onboarding
The Tech or Digital industry
Designing innovative & engaging L&D/onboarding comms/newsletters etc
