AND Next Clubs Business Unit

AND Next is tasked with maintaining our high growth trajectory in the coming years by identifying potential locations for new Clubs (“offices”), establishing the business and investment cases, securing funding and then successfully launching them.


About You

You will be part of the Next Team responsible for driving the growth of our new clubs across the UK, Europe and beyond. Although you will work across the entire lifecycle of the delivery of our Next Clubs growth strategy, from inception to go live, you will play a key lead role in building key relationships with clients and partners, developing winning club value partnerships, negotiating commercial terms and making sure promises made, are promises kept.


As a result, you will need to be able to:

  • Build business development and client acquisition plans for new clubs and new territories in collaboration with our Client Acquisition team, and then be responsible for executing against those plans
  • Support negotiations with clients, partners and suppliers, shaping negotiations that deliver on our promise of partnership
  • Refine and understand client requirements to enable the overall AND Digital team to deliver effectively
  • Conduct stakeholder management of our clients to ensure they are aware of key developments at our new club(s)
  • Support AND colleagues (People, Marketing, Technology, Finance, and others) to understand the People and Human Resources implications of new launches and their impact on P&L, opportunities and risk management
  • Actively lead key work streams and the launch of our new clubs


To do that, it’s essential you bring the following:

  • An excellent track record of working in fast moving, disruptive sectors with experience of designing, building and implementing digital transformation journeys
  • Good understanding of technology, particularly technologies that support product (digital) development and delivery
  • Experience of delivering against client and revenue targets within a Consulting or technology professional services organisation
  • A background in Technology/Professional Services/Consulting companies, but now a desire to focus your career on building a fast growth, remarkable company
  • A strong start-up mindset, self-starter characteristics and the ability to work in a tightly coupled team that has high expectations placed on it
  • Strong commercial acumen, contract experience and understanding of professional services engagement models
  • Confident and clear communication plus strong presentation skills, and the ability to communicate with different audiences and levels, both with clients and within AND Digital
  • Good knowledge of digital and how and why it is different from traditional ways of working, backed up with your own insights and points of view
  • Advanced Word/PowerPoint/Excel/Google Productivity suite skills
  • Ability to travel across the UK and Europe and work away from home

Your day-to-day

Support our BD and Marketing Team; you’ll help to schedule and run meetings, following up on any action items, and researching key action points to provide valuable insights for the team
Undertake projects aligned to new client partnerships and the pipeline, taking ownership for maintaining the accuracy of our new clients pipeline
Provide research into potential clients’ businesses, digital operations and help us identify how AND can best approach new partnership opportunities
Learn invaluable skills in business development by being a key part of this small team, working directly with deeply experienced business development and marketing professionals
Own the logistics for, and support, our regular marketing events
Engage with senior clients on behalf of the Client Partnerships Lead
Act as the point of contact for all ANDis to answer questions around client partnerships.

Requirements
Your background
To excel in this role, you are going to need:
A minimum 2:1 degree in a Business-related subject
Have graduated within the last 12-24 months
A passion for business and digital
Are keen to learn and develop yourself, with an interest in learning more about business and what it is like to bring in new clients
Some experience in business development or sales
Be a fast, independent learner who is great at problem-solving
Highly organised and systematic in your working style, with a high level of attention to detail
Have an outstanding level of communications via email, phone and face-to-face
Possess excellent time management, able to work to tight deadlines
Be able to balance needs and prioritise, to ensure best business results
Be able to work and engage with all levels
Demonstrate relationship skills and professionalism with clients
A team player, willing to help out where needed, with an approachable attitude
Strong skills in Google apps and Google Drive
