The Technology Practice in AND Consulting helps our clients to use technology effectively to achieve business objectives AND supports them in embedding continuous technology improvement into their organisations. We look at subjects that include organisational structure, technology solution selection, delivery working ways, and infrastructure appropriateness along with many other topics.

We’ve worked with clients to transform their technology landscape, helped them identify the best solutions to their toughest problems, fixed challenging technical issues, helped them set up new technology capabilities, and accelerated technical delivery in established teams. We help technology teams become truly trusted partners in their organisation.

Your Role

As a Managing/Principal Consultant, you will shape and develop technology consulting projects for AND’s household-name clients. As a result, you will need to be able to:

  • Work with senior client stakeholders - CIOs, CTOs and Heads of Technology -- to support and develop their Technology strategies
  • Assess the current technology situation our clients find themselves in, providing a third-party independent view
  • Research technology options available for a variety of situations and constraint
  • Design plans and roadmaps for technology strategy implementation projects
  • Develop business cases for technology improvement programmes
  • Focus on what is next in technology - staying one step ahead of our clients - challenging their approach and thinking
  • Plan new technology organisational operating models and ways of working
  • Provide recommendations on how to achieve the cultural, organisational, and working ways shifts required for a successful technology transformation

To do that, it’s essential you bring the following:

  • Consulting and/or professional service experience
  • Deep technical experience and been involved with a variety of hands on technology projects
  • Leadership experience in software delivery life cycle and have a solid background and understanding of code and systems architecture
  • Grounding of the technology vendor landscape, across content management, commerce, and ERP systems
  • Experience in developing technology strategy for a variety of situations and constraints and these strategies sit at your disposal
  • The ability to translate business objectives and benefits into measurable technical options using frameworks such as KPIs, OKRs etc
  • Comfort in moving between various client assignments throughout your career within the AND Consulting team
  • Ability to spot and develop commercial opportunities for AND Digital either for yourself, AND Consulting or AND as a whole
  • A highly organised nature, excellent communication and interpersonal skills

It’s helpful if you also have:

  • An open mind and a willingness to develop new skills
  • An entrepreneurial flair and a willingness to take calculated risks
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relationship building skills – the ability to develop and maintain peer relationships with client management level executives.
  • Strategic thinking – able to shape and solve problems using a fact-based approach to drive out insights that make the difference for AND Digital clients.
  • A passion to learn and to develop – the desire to continue developing and to share expertise with those around you are essential.
