The Insight Practice in AND Consulting helps our clients to use data to make business choices based on evidence AND support them in embedding data into their strategy and ways of working. We look at subjects that include data, analytics, website optimisation and search. We’ve worked with clients to transform their use of data, including finding and fixing data quality issues so product teams can base their choices on trustworthy, accurate data, or helping to set up new analytics capability in a rapidly-growing start up to give them the insight they need to plan their future growth.

As a Data and Insight Management Consultant, you will support business digital transformation success through a deep understanding of data and insight. As a result, you will need to be able to:

  • Shape and develop Insight consulting projects for AND's household-name clients
  • Design Insight, data and analytics strategies and plans for commerce and enterprise-based clients
  • Develop business cases to get a new data driven and insight focussed business model up and running
  • Plan new organisational operating models
  • Provide recommendations on how to achieve the cultural shift required for data-focussed ways of working
  • Get ‘hands on’ with the work, developing understanding of large data sets, operating models, tool selection recommendations and data visualisations and producing related key deliverables to describe them
  • Support the growth of the Insight Practice as part of the AND Consulting team helping to nurture a committed and inclusive team environment supported by artefacts that include white papers, internal training materials, reusable templates, case studies and speaking at AND client events
  • Collaborate with other practices (Product, Delivery, People and Technology)

To do that, it’s essential you bring the following:

  • Consulting and/or professional service experience A
  • Ability to lead strategic data, analytics or optimisation work across a range of clients and organisations.
  • Highly organised, excellent communicator, with great interpersonal skills meaning you connect effectively with stakeholders and develop empathy with their needs so that you can influence and get buy in for new ideas at a senior level.

It’s helpful if you also have:

  • Experience in mentoring and developing a team of consultants to deliver high quality client work
  • Understanding of how to forage for opportunities hidden within data, and can convert these into actionable recommendations delivering business value
  • Ability to translate business objectives and benefits into measurable data using different frameworks
  • Experience in communicating business insight into complex data through story-telling
  • Comfort in moving between various client assignments throughout your career within the AND Consulting team
  • The ability to spot and develop commercial opportunities for AND Digital either for yourself, AND Consulting or AND as a whole
