Club Launch Manager

This is an opportunity for a Club Launch Manager who will join our AND Next team.

AND Next is tasked with maintaining our high growth trajectory in the coming years by identifying potential locations for new Clubs (“offices”), establishing the business and investment cases, securing funding and then successfully launching them.

This is a high tempo role that requires multiple, complex, competing priorities to be managed simultaneously, operating both strategically and operationally at board level, with clients and colleagues.

A Club is a unit with around 80 AND people who together serve between 8-12 clients at any one time. A Club has its own physical space, its own management team and autonomy to make its own operational decisions when it comes to its people and clients. Clubs are supported by company-wide teams, focused on bringing in new talent, looking after the broader experience and happiness of our people, and a dedicated Academy to support their continuous learning.


Your role:

Your role will be to manage the establishment of these new Clubs. You will work in a team structure where you will project manage all our launch plans, from discovery, inception, investment decision, operationalisation and launch. You will work across the entire lifecycle of the delivery of our Next Clubs growth strategy, working both strategically as well as executing many of the operational priorities needed to launch our Clubs successfully.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing the launch of multiple new Clubs, defining fully all launch plans and driving forward all work streams across multiple AND and client teams
  • Supporting negotiations with clients, partners and suppliers
  • Refining and understanding client requirements to enable the overall AND Digital team to deliver effectively
  • Assist in client negotiations and shaping commercial relationships
  • Stakeholder management of our clients to ensure they are aware of progress of the establishment of our Club(s), in line with their requirements
  • Managing the launch budget against plan, recruitment plans, IT and physical infrastructure, and office accommodation

About you:

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience of operating with clients at mid and senior management team levels - `C-suite experience’ is a bonus
  • A clear communicator, motivator and problem-solver
  • A management style that engenders support, confidence and commitment from AND Digital colleagues and client teams
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of professional services business models
  • Senior Project/Programme Management experience with a proven track record in effective delivery of client outcomes
  • Good knowledge of digital, and how and why it is different to traditional ways of working, backed up with their own insights and points of view
  • Good understanding of technology, particularly technologies that support product (digital) development and delivery
  • Ideally, someone with a Professional Services/Consulting background that has solid Microsoft Office / G-Suite and project planning/documentation skills
  • Ability to travel across the UK and Europe and work away from home
