What is a Business Development Analyst at AND Digital?

The Client Acquisition team needs to continue to attract and bring in new clients to fuel AND Digital’s ambitious and fast paced growth. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has some experience working in professional services business development and wants to accelerate their skills in this area by being a key part of a small team driving forward this vital side of our business.

At AND Digital we separate the business development bringing in new clients with managing our established client accounts. This is the focus of our Client Acquisition team. Our team covers the whole lifecycle; from inspiring potential clients in Marketing, identifying targets, developing those conversations to actually shape and deliver the first piece of paid work.. Then we handover to other teams to grow the client partnership.

This role is focused on driving the middle element of this. To support bringing in the volume and quality of client relationships into the pipeline and the speed through to closing the sale by bringing clarity on what we do, understanding their business and what the clients need and if we can support them.

 

What will I be doing?

The main focus of your time will be in three areas:

  • Pulling out relationships across the wider business, contacts made through events and informal partnerships to bring volume and quality into the pipeline
  • Driving the speed and our success rate as we move new clients through the pipeline by prepping for key meetings, pulling together new client research, shaping insights and managing the pipeline process
  • Making our team more effective through analysis, reporting, internal communications and engaging with wider AND Digital teams

 

This will encompass a variety of skills:

  • Business Development – experience of helping to shape and create sales proposals to support how we go to market and how we progress conversations with different potential clients in our pipeline
  • Analysis – Able to pull together reports, bring insights to improve the process and refine how we operate. Also conduct research on clients, their industries and competitors to bring insights that will challenge their thinking
  • Mindset – Personal drive and willingness to learn are key. This is a small team and there is a great opportunity to own and drive your future. We need someone that is great at dealing with ambiguity and problem solving, bringing ideas and solutions to the table

Am I right for the job?

  • You may have previously worked in a Professional Services / Consulting environment
  • Business Development and Relationship Management skills – some experience of supporting teams to build relationships, challenge senior people’s thinking and close sales. Enjoyed this and want to focus in this area moving forward
  • Understanding of digital, agile product development and practices
  • Strong people management and comms skills – naturally builds rapport and strong relationships
  • Comfortable in ambiguity and thrives on variety
  • Able to work autonomously but also an effective team player
