Our guest speaker, Phil will lead a high tempo, informative and interactive discussion on the successful, multi-year business transformation in Telefonica and share some of the key lessons learnt from leading change in a global business and how to be an intelligent customer of strategic partners in the change journey.
Phil is a leading global CIO and Digital Leader in the Retail, Communications and High Tech industry. Phil has a very successful leadership track record and is renowned for transforming and exploiting the value of IT in major companies. He spent twelve years at Vodafone culminating, in 2010, as Regional CIO in North Europe before moving to be CIO for Telefonica O2 UK. This was quickly followed in 2011 with a move to Madrid to become Telefonica Global CIO.
In January 2018, Phil will become the Group CIO at Sainsbury’s PLC. Recently awarded the European CIO of the Year for 2016, he is consistently voted at the very top of the CIO Top 100 and in UKTECH50 for the 50 most influential people in UK Technology sector. He is a member of the board of directors for the TM Forum and has served as a non-executive independent advisor on IT to a major banking and financial services company.
