Through the keyhole #014: The ANDtitle… A game changer for job titles

About a 2 minute read
There are many factors that make a company attractive to a prospective employee. It could be the company ethos, the type of projects on offer or a chance to get an increase of salary. However, one question candidates always ask (and should always ask) in an interview is; what are the people like?
Most interviewers will answer that question the same way; fun, social and hardworking. While these are all good qualities to have in a company, it doesn’t differentiate you from the next interviewer or previous employer. Prospective candidates want to be sure that they are going to be working with like-minded people, both on a professional and personal level.
Introducing the ANDtitle – a teaser tagged on to our job titles that shows we are Product Developers, Product Analysts or Squad leads AND something a little extra. It’s a small, but effective way to show, sell and celebrate the great people that make up AND Digital. So from our Leprechaun, Seamstress, Secret Olympian, Hawaiian Shirt Aficionado, Zen Master, Board Game Geek and to me as a Football Manager, the ANDtitle is the AND Digital way of saying there is more to our people than their job role.
So by throwing out the rulebook when it comes to job titles we are enabling our people to turn something potentially dull into something that is personal, original, pretty quirky with plenty of benefits. From using it as a great talking point with clients to break the ice, to starting conversations from curious people who see it on our profiles on LinkedIn, to enabling our new people to see what they have in common with other members of their team – Our ANDtitles have brought a great deal to our people to help them in the workplace and beyond.
