We’re all about healthy living here at AND Digital, which is why we’re incredibly excited to announce the launch of our new Cycle to Work programme. The new scheme will give all of our employees the opportunity to ditch the crammed tube for a morning cycle on the way to work! No more delays, no more minding the closing doors and no more having to wait 15 minutes for the next overground – just you and wherever your bike can take you!

Our people pay off the cost the bike over 12 months through a tax free salary sacrifice and just pay a nominal fee at the end of the scheme in order to own the bike outright. The scheme also includes purchasing accessories like locks, helmets and jackets. Because the scheme is tax free, employees typically save between 25% – 39% of the original cost of the bike and accessories!

We like to go above and beyond here at AND, so we’ve done more than simply setting up a Cycle to Work scheme. We are going to offer full safety training to make sure all of our cyclists are responsible while on the roads. We will also offer maintenance classes so that our ANDi’s bikes stay in top condition, which will be particularly important during those wet London winter months! We also have an active community of cycling enthusiasts at AND Digital who regularly organise rides together at the weekend – they have something for everyone, from beginners to the more experienced cyclists.

If you need even more proof of how great the programme is just listen to what Angel, one of our Product Analysts, had to say:

The Cycling to Work scheme is great in that it motivates me to cycle to work more often. My commute time is about 50% shorter, my fitness levels are improved and my happiness levels are up! It also allows me attend the AND-cycleclub rides over the weekends which is great fun! The only downside is that I now feel awkward whenever I’m forced to take the tube!

Simba, another Product Analyst and Passionate Cyclist (photo used in the header) used the scheme to get the bike of his dreams:

I used the scheme to get the bike I took to the Alps for the Marmotte Gran Fondo earlier this year and that’s the best thing about it; you can buy any kind of bike whether you’re starting out or like to take it a bit more seriously.

The Cycle to Work programme means that our people can have a healthier and happier commute, whilst saving money on the cost of a bike and saving both money and time on their daily transport – what is there not to like?
