Club Kilburn

Meet our remarkable team...

Club Kilburn takes inspiration from and is named after Computer Science and Mathematician pioneer, Tom Kilburn, whose work propelled Manchester and Britain into the forefront of the emerging field of computer science. The parallels drawn between Kilburn’s pioneering work with AND’s ambitious plans are clear and embodied within this club.

Kilburn Crew

This crew is the support system for Club Kilburn - They are the ones driving the client accounts, providing specialist expertise, supporting the people and leading the vision for Club Kilburn.

Hawking Squad

"Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet" - For us, the words of Professor Stephen Hawking inspire courage and persistence in all that we do. With the technology at our disposal, the possibilities are unbounded. All we need to do is make sure we keep talking.

Muse Squad

MUSE, a machine created by Kilburn and widely considered the most powerful computer in the world. Its name was derived from achieving speeds of one instruction per microsecond, something only possible through development of new techniques to allow interconnected units of varying speeds to work in parallel!

Titan Squad

The Titan supercomputer was born of Tom Kilburn's groundbreaking work with stored program computers. It was designed and built to deliver the same unparalleled processing power of it's predecessors in a more streamlined and economical way.

Mobius Squad

August Ferdinand Möbius was a German mathematician, best known for his discovery of the Möbius Strip. The versatility of this invention tips to the wide-ranging capabilities of this squad.
